Born and raised in Switzerland, Kathrine didn't paint for decades, earning her living as a lawyer, until everything changed for her. One day at home, she simply began painting with abandon. Then, a weekend portrait-drawing course set this development in motion. She incessantly painted and continued to learn mostly at home for herself. 

 

She came up to Aberdeen, Scotland, for a holiday and fall in love with this city.​ Meanwhile she paints large scale artworks in her studio at Aberdeen's old Lodge in the St. Nicholas Kirkyard.

 

She loves bringing light to the people through her paintings - love, peace, happiness and joy.
